Carlow The death occurred recently of Gillespie who
figured prominently before the public In a case heard at the last Carlow
Graigue quarter sessions when he was awarded £86 and costs for alleged
injury to cattle by driving.

by the Rev William Rooney PP Richard fourth son of the late Joseph
McCall Killalongford County Carlow to Mary eldest daughter of James
Murphy Congiffin Enfield County Meath.

The death occurred recently in the parochial house
Somerton Carlow Graigue after a protracted illness of the Rev G P Byrne
P P of that parish in his 58th year and the thirty fourth of his
priesthood The deceased after filling curacies in Ballyroan Rossenaills
Killelgh and Newbridge was in January 189S promoted to the pastorship of
Killeshen Carlow Graigue As a preacher the deceased was noted far beyond
the confines of the parishes in which he ministered

Loughrea Galway of Miss Mary Brigid Nolan only daughter of the late
James Nolan Slaney quarter Tullow county Carlow.
Married At St Lazerians Church Leighlin bridge by
the Rev James Coyle P P Michael Nolan Railway Hotel Athy to Helena B,
daughter of the late Mr John Wynne merchant Leighlin Bridge.
There is at present some unpleasantness between the
local people and the owner of the Ballkealy estate and notices were
posted all over the country warning the people not to purchase hay which
was to have been Sold on Aug the 19th

Much regret is felt in Carlow at the death of John
Sillis who was school teacher for the past twenty one years and had
filled the office with much credit. He was also a practical supporter of
the Gaelic League movement.
October 23, 1909
Joseph Byrne a highly respected young man of County
Carlow while cycling collided with a motorcar at Clonegal and received
injuries which resulted in his death.
December 25, 1909
Great indignation has been aroused in County Carlow
over the establishment of an auxiliary police station at Bagnalstown.
