To return briefly to the 5 company (244 rank and file) strong Carlow militia who are of interest in themselves and worth a separate study, they had a company added and were strengthened to 384 rank and file.  Many other officers came in, in the succeeding years, and a brief listing of most of the changes will be ad rem.
