					Abstract of title of Colonel Robert Burton to the lands 
					called Feltham's holding and Rainstonne (Rainstown), county 
					Catherlogh (Carlow). Title for Owen Feltham's holding begins 
					with lease dated 22 May 1712 from Henry, 8th Earl of 
					Thomond, to Benjamin Burton. These lands were granted in fee 
					farm to Burton by the Earl of Thomond on 26 September 1712. 
					Henry Berkely conveyed the lands of Rahinstonne to Benjamin 
					Burton by deeds of lease and release dated 20 September 1723 
					and 21 September 1723 respectively. Samuel Burton inherited 
					the lands from his father, the aforementioned Benjamin 
					Burton. The lands were then vested in trustees for the 
					relief of the creditors of Burton and Harrison.

					persuaded the father that the writer was the aggressor. 
					Lahey also alleges that his sisters wrote a will for their 
					father's estate in which the writer was disinherited and got 
					him to sign it when he was in a weak state a week before 
					death. Now requests Sir Charles, when he is leasing land, to 
					consider him for a tenure.

					part, and Anne Preston, parish of St Anne's, Dublin, widow 
					of Reverend Plunket Preston, parish of Dunbrileague, county 
					Limerick, of the other part. By his will dated 2 April 1796, 
					Daniel Toler devised to Robert Curtis and Sarah Ann Curtis, 
					the lands of Knigh (otherwise Castleplough and Bewley), 
					barony of Ormond Lower, county Tipperary, with the mansion 
					house, offices, gardens and woods thereon. Also recites that 
					by his will, Daniel Toler empowered his daughter to encumber 
					the lands with sum of £1,000. Now, the aforementioned lands 
					are transferred to Preston in consideration of sum of £800 
					she gives to the Curtis'. Mortgage to be null and void if 
					they repay her this sum with interest of 6% by 18 May 1803.

					Office, city of Dublin, on 5 June 1802 in book 545, page

					Settlement made between Joseph Faris, city of Dublin, 
					barrister, of the first part, Margaret Faris (otherwise 
					Burton), his wife, of the second part, Sir Charles Burton, 
					Pollerton, county Carlow, of the third part, and John 
					Humfrey, city of Dublin, esquire, of the fourth part. 
					Recites that by deed of release dated 19 March 1714, Francis 
					Harrison, city of Dublin, esquire, demised to Charles Byrne, 
					Sleaty, Queen's county (Laois), and William Faris, 
					Ballinakill, county Carlow, the townland of Ballinakill, 
					barony of Rathvilly, county Carlow, containing 240 acres 
					plantation measure. Covenant for perpetual renewal in the 
					lease. Joseph Faris is now entitled to one-half of these 
					lands. Details of settlement executed on the marriage of Sir 
					Charles Burton dated 4 August 1778 (described as document 
					number P1/0249). Under this, he made provision for the 
					financial support of his children. Sir Charles now agrees to 
					provide sum of £500 to Joseph Faris as the marriage portion 
					of his daughter, Margaret Burton. In return, Faris places 
					the lands of Ballinakill upon trust to provide jointure for 
					his wife should she survive him, and makes provision for any 
					children of the marriage. It is noted that this deed was 
					registered at the Register Office, city of Dublin, on 26 
					January 1803 in book 544, page 428, number 365454.

					Curtis now in consideration of payment to him of the sums of 
					£800 and 5 shillings. It is noted that a memorial of the 
					assignment of the judgement was entered in the

					part, and John Humfrey, city of Dublin, of the third part. 
					Recites details of deeds of lease and release dated 3 August 
					1777 and 4 August 1777 [this should probably read 1778]. The 
					deed of release being the marriage settlement executed on 
					the marriage of the said Sir Charles Burton and Catherine 
					Cuffe (described as document number P1/0249). The current 
					indenture recites details of the marriage settlement, 
					namely, that Sir Charles Burton was seized of lands about 
					the town of Carlow containing 254 acres; also the lands of 
					Rathnapish, barony of Carlow, county Carlow; also the lands 
					of Pollardstown (Pollerton), county Carlow; also the lands 
					of Ballymore Eustace, commonly known as the Duke of York's 
					lands and a close or park commonly called Luckomb's park, 
					county Dublin. Sir Charles transferred these lands to 
					William Burton and Hunt Walsh forever subject to the chief 
					or fee farm rents subject to various trusts, that is, to Sir 
					Charles after his life and thereafter in tail male. Now, Sir 
					Charles Burton and Charles Burton transfer these lands to 
					Gahan upon trust that he may become perfect tenant of the 
					freehold of the lands. It is agreed that a recovery may be 
					had at the cost of the Burtons. It is also agreed between 
					the parties that it is lawful for John Humfrey to prosecute 
					before the end of the present Trinity Term in the Court of 
					Chancery in Ireland a writ of entry sur disseisin en le post 
					for lands against Gahan. It is noted that this deed was 
					registered at the Registry Office, city of Dublin, on 4 July
