Long in his 73rd year, highly respected, deeply regretted, by a large
number of relatives and friends, May His Soul Rest in Peace.
Ballyleave, County Carlow, Ireland

Feb 6th, 1861
At his residence, Ballyleave County Carlow, Mr. John Long, in his 73rd
year, after a long and protracted illness which he bore with true
Christian fortitude and resignation to the Divine Will.
The vast number of persons which accompanied his remains to their final
resting place, fully testified how highly respected the deceased had been
whilst living.

Kingsbridge Terminus to Clonmelsh, Carlow
Rosanna Long
Year 1868
Feb.10th at 148 Rathmines (Dublin), Mrs. Rosanna Long, aged 73, late of
Prim Rose Castle, Clonmelsh, County Carlow.
Her remains will be removed to Kingsbridge Terminus, on tomorrow,
Wednesday morning for interment at Clonmelsh.

On the 5th instant, at his residence, Dundrum, aged 72, John Henry
Colclough, son of the late Beaucham Colclough, Esq., of Mount Sion, County
Carlow.

James Lillis , Born - Carlow , Executed on January 15.1923
Between 17 November 1922 and 2 May 1923 , seventy-seven Republican
prisoners were removed from their prison cells and shot dead by order of
the Free State administration . James Lillis was one of 77 men executed
at the Curragh Camp by firing squad.

Wexford Independent, February 20th, 1878, p. 3
HICKEY - February 17th, 1878, at Camolin Rectory (the residence of
her son-in-law), Henrietta Maria Hickey, widow of Rev. William Hickey,
late Rector of Mulrankin, and only daughter of the late John Stuart,
Esq., Steuart's Lodge, County Carlow, aged 85 years. Funeral will leave
Wexford Railway Station for Mulrankin on arrival of 1p pm. train on
Thursday.
